There are several but the two most popular seem to be Motherboard Monitor 5 and SiSoft Sandra. Both are freely available from www.guru3d.com

motherboard montior is a bit bettter than sandra for temp monitoring as it can be run in the background and constantly monitor temperatures.
sandra does have other tools such as benchmarking though

I've got motherboard monitor set to email my cell phone before autoshutdown if an alarm goes off.
