I'm no expert, but that looks to be about right. First thing I would do is upgrade to a GeForce 4 of some type(MX or Ti series) with DDR memory. I had an ATI 7000 with 32mb DDR and only got a 1391 score with it. Then I bought a GeForce 4 Ti4200 w/64mb DDR ram and my score jumped to 5847 after I installed the latest detonator driver from nVidia. And I only have regular pc133 system ram. According to Wiggo, I could easily surpass the 10000 mark if I could only use DDR(2700) system ram.

No person who plays games should even consider any MX card these days as for around the same general price range a plain Gigabyte Maya R9000 will leave them behind plus give ya DX8.1 support so go any video card from a R8500 or GF3 upwards and leave the MX's well alone.
