Default Asus A7V266E Rev 1.xx update chipset driver

Have recently installed new HDD and newly installed XPPro - everything works except new USB2 card, even tho System Manager reports Enhanced USB controller is working. (correction - it works as USB1 with the "advice"screen saying device would work better in USB2)
Conventional advice is that I should have updated the m/b drivers from Asus. System was pre-loaded with XPHome on purchase, BUT the support CD's provided don't have chipset drivers (and in any case NONE of the CD's have drivers later than NT or W2000)
Asus site - can get the m/b overview, but the d/l page for drivers is "not available"
Can anyone help please?

Don't know if they will help your dilema, but I was able to download the BIOS files without a problem. I also downloaded the Flash utility as well. The BIOS is v1015.002 and is officially considered a Beta, the Flash tool is v2.21 and is the latest offered on the Asus website. If you would like me to email these files to you, just shoot me a PM and I'll get your address.
