Audio device problem - can´t install AC'97

About 2 days ago I was watching a film when suddenly the sound was cut off I check the audio and sound devices on control panel and it was saying "no audio device" I've already tried to install the audio drivers but it wont work it just keeps saying no audio device.

If it quit all of a sudden and you are sure it isn't a driver issue, then it may very well be a hardware problem (the sound board died).

well I've solved the problem by other means just put the soundcard of my uncle's old pc and it worked fine never figured out what the problem really was, probably the soundboard stop working.
