Doesn't it say what driver anywhere? Check the debug information, if possible.

It is not uncommon for certain drivers to be nasty when presented with sp2. I have seen audigy drivers do this and there is new drivers on their site that address these issues for some models. The last one that did this for me was an LS. Try reinstalling all your drivers after uninstalling them first. If that doesnt work, reinstall windows, then sp2, then go from there.
Full system specs would help.

Hi everyone, first post
![]() I used to get the BSOD whenever I ran a 3D app like a game. Sometimes it would take 2 hours, or just 2 minutes, but it would always happen. I tried upgrading parts and getting new drivers but nothing worked. Until . . . I was reading one of the guides on this website and it recommended a BIOS flash as a 'tweak'. So I did it, and all my problems went away. I haven't seen the BSOD ever since. All you have to do is go to the MB manufacturers website and they should have specific instructions for BIOS flashing. It might not be the solution for you, but I think it's worth a shot. ![]() My system specs: Gigabyte GA-8SIML P4 1.7GHz Asus Radeon 9550 512MB RAM (Hynix) Maxtor 40GB HD XP pro - sp2 |

i already reinstalled all my drivers and updated most of them but the rest have no updates cuz i already have the latest. I reinstall the OS twice. And the version i have already has SP2 incorporated in it. I ahave not a cle wats causing the problem but some extensive research showed tha it is really a known SP2 personal issue. Any ways i already decided to go back to SP1 and ever since, i have not had an error at all.
