Default Help! BFG Tech 6200 GeForce 256MB Driver? Windows 64 bit?

I just recently put together a system with an MSI k8N Neo 2 Platinum and an AMD 64 3200+. I got Windows XP 64 bit, and the downloaded the drivers 77.72 for Windows XP 64bit, but when I run the installer all I get is an error that my hardware isn't compatible.

I've got a 1.5 Award bios, there is only 1.8 out there and the fixes don't seem to be anything that would help there.

Anyone know anything? I'm pulling out my hair on how unhelpful all the online documentation is related to this.

Any Suggestions welcome!

Assuming you've already re-downloaded the drivers to try again (always a good idea as a corrupt download can do this), you might search around and look for one revision earlier drivers. I'm not sure what nVidia has done for their x64 drivers, but I know that ATI has updated theirs along the way. Sometimes when a driver is "improved" there are issues.

As to the BIOS, while I normally try to keep this updated on my main machines, it shouldn't be a cause for your problem.

Carbondale? I was raised in Morton (close to Peoria). Welcome to TweakTown!
