Help! Need advice about Nforce drivers

I have an Asus A7N8X 2.0 deluxe

Everytime I needed to format, i installed the mobo´s drivers within the CD from the box.


Never updated, but now I just downloaded the unified driver nforce XP 4.27

Is this the driver I should install from now on?

As a general rule, you should always use up to date drivers, so yes, use the 4.27s. Use them instead of the ones that came with your motherboard.

Should I uninstall the ones I ve got right now?

Or it can wait ´till I format again in the future?

Is there any significant boost between them?

I have none stability´s issues at the moment with the old drivers.......

Whichever you prefer. I don't generally uninstall the nForce drivers, though. Not the correct way of doing things, but I've yet to have any problems.

No, the newest version mainly handled some small compatibility and stability issues. Though I didn't benchmark them against each other directly, I didn't notice any boosts in performance.

Do the new 4.27 drivers, include the sound drivers (soundstorm) for the atn8x?????

I mean, how does this "unified thing" works???

It´s just that every review out there says that everyone should update every driver to get max performance (fps) in any game. But I don´t want to go messing around with my mobo drivers if there is no boost in performance.

Here is the link for nVidia's driver page. Choose the necessary items in each window and it will give you more information regarding the driver set. If you have already loaded up v4.24, then you don't need to update as the drivers themselves are the same.
