Testing testing I didn't uninstall the old drivers for my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro before installing the latest version. Normally I do, but this time I just blasted right through. I noticed immediately a huge change for the better in my Serene Screen screensaver, UT2003, MOH, and LOTR: FOTR frame rates and textures...can I better this further by uninstalling the video drivers completely and reinstalling the new ones? I have a Dell Dimension 8250 with 512 MB 1066 RDRAM.

it depends on which drivers you are installing

some of the beta's don't include a full driver set - but if you stick to the certified ones the best course to follow is to completely eradicate the old set first
