Motherboard drivers won´t install?

I have tried to install new drivers to my motherboard, but the installation program does not go to the end. I looked some install log file and there was something about "setup program cannot find DLL -file ........ ". There wasn´t said what DLL -file it won´t find, because i opened the log file in notepad and only that much was readable. I even have tried two different versions of that driver package, ASUS and nVidia´s. The ASUS version will start the installation, but after the "install shield is preparing the installation" -thing nothing happens. Weird problems in XP!

have tried dl the drivers again?

i have that mobo and you are not supposed to use the nVidia drivers, the ASUS drivers are not the same
