My ViewSonic CRT 22" just went **** up me thinks!

I hooked it up to my Inspiron 8500 analog out....and it worked at first...then I reboot my Inspiron and all of sudden my video signal went hay wire.

I am now staring at a 2mm colored vertical stripe. weird....

The picture is there after I reboot. I plugged an old monitor into the PC...and sure enough it works. What the hell?

Did my Inspiron must fry my montior?

:shoot2:

I dont know if this will help too much, but make sure you have all the correct drivers for you GFX, monitor, everything. Try hitting a reset button on the monitor? I would think that its fryed though, but its worth a try.

Reset? Hmmmm...
not sure I even have one of those. I will look around back.

Just seems weird that the damn laptop would do this huh?

I have a new LCD I got today....seems to be ok...except the damn thing will only hit 1280 x 1040 @75hz. That bites....considering I just bought a new ATI Radeon 9500 128MB card as well. :steam:

Oh well...if I get it working I may give it to my daughter...LOL
