You need to start over. Please go into the BIOS and load and apply optimized defaults, then set your ram voltage only and save/apply/reboot BACK to the BIOS. You will then need to set all your changed settings again as they will be reset. This includes, and do not forget especially if you are running RAID, SATA And Disk settings in Advanced BIOS, and Integrated Peripherals page.

I can help once you do that, you cannot start overclocking from Fail Safe settings as many hidden per hardware settings may be incorrect, as well as ones I can visibly see that are.

Please see this thread for all Optimized Default steps needed if you are running RAID >>

Okay. Reset to Optimized Defaults and set DRAM Voltage to 2.00V. Not running raid. It's about midnight here, and I've got to sleep. Check back tomorrow. Thanks again.

Try this for 3.2, I give a few ways trying to keep your ram above 1000. You can also use CPU multi 8/8.5x400 FSB but your ram will need to run 900-960 that way >>>

Robust graphics Booster----------------------Auto or Fast
CPU Clock Ratio------------------------------7
Fine CPU Clock Ratio-------------------------+0.5
CPU Frequency------------------------------3.187 (425x7.5)

Clock Chip Control

CPU Clock Control---------------------------Enabled
CPU Host Frequency------------------------425 MHz
PCI Express Frequency----------------------Set 100 Manually
CIA2---------------------------------------Disabled

OR

CPU Clock Ratio------------------------------7
Fine CPU Clock Ratio-------------------------+0.0
CPU Frequency------------------------------3.150 (450x7)

Clock Chip Control

CPU Clock Control---------------------------Enabled
CPU Host Frequency------------------------450 MHz
PCI Express Frequency----------------------Set 100 Manually
CIA2---------------------------------------Disabled

Advanced Clck Control

CPU Clock Drive-----------------------------800mv
PCI Express Clock Drive----------------------900mv
CPU Clock Skew-----------------------------0ps
MCH Clock Skew-----------------------------0ps

DRAM Performance Control

Performance Enhance: Turbo << Standard (You can try turbo later but it may need looser settings or more MCH/Ram/Vtt voltages)

Extreme Memory Profile: (X.M.P.)-----------Disabled
MCH Frquency Latch-----------------------Auto
System Memory Multiplier (SPD)------------2.40B
Memory Frequency (MHz)------------------1020 (if using 425 FSB) 1080 (If using 450 FSB)

DRAM Timing Selectable (SPD)--------------Manual

Standard Timing Control

CAS Latency Time--------------------------5
tRCD---------------------------------------5
tRP----------------------------------------5
tRAS---------------------------------------15

Set below settings to highest suggested, then later lower one at a time testing as you go with Memtest86+

Advanced Timing Control

tRRD--------------------------------------3-4
tWTR-------------------------------------3-5
tWR--------------------------------------4-6
tRFC--------------------------------------52-62
tRTP4-------------------------------------3-5
Command Rate (CMD)----------------------2

Driving Strength Profiles-------------------- Set 1066

Channel A Settings
Static tRead Value-------------------------6-10 (6-7 should be fine)
tRD Phase0 Adjustment---------------------0 Auto
tRD Phase1 Adjustment---------------------0 Auto
tRD Phase2 Adjustment---------------------0 Auto
tRD Phase3 Adjustment---------------------0 Auto
Trd2rd(Different Rank)----------------------8 Auto
Twr2wr(Different Rank)---------------------8 Auto
Twr2rd(Different Rank)---------------------7 Auto
Trd2wr(Same/Diff Rank)--------------------9 Auto
Dimm1 Clock Skew Control------------------Auto
Dimm2 Clock Skew Control-----------------Auto
DDR Write Training-------------------------Auto

Channel B----------------------------------Same as Channel A

Motherboard Voltage Control

CPU
Load Line Calibration----------------------Disabled
CPU Vcore--------------------------------1.225-1.35 << you will need to find and set your own voltage, more or less may be needed. Keep in mind what you set here will be less in windows at idle and less then that at load. You can check the actual value with CPU-z

CPU Termination--------------------------1.2-1.28 should be plenty (DO SET CPU Termination and PLL manually Auto will give to much when overclocking)

CPU PLL----------------------------------1.55
CPU Reference----------------------------0.76V Auto

MCH/ICH
MCH Core--------------------------------1.2-1.24
MCH Reference---------------------------0.76 Auto
MCH/DRAM Reference---------------------0.900V Auto
ICH I/O----------------------------------1.55
ICH Core---------------------------------1.14

DRAM
DRAM Voltage----------------------------2.0-2.1V
DRAM Termination------------------------0.900V Auto
Channel A Reference----------------------0.900V Auto
Channel B Reference----------------------0.900V Auto

Advanced Settings

Limit CPUID Max. to 3---------------------Disabled
No-Execute Memory Protect---------------Enabled
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)------------------Enabled << Disabled
C2/C2E State Support---------------------Disabled
x C4/C4E State Support-------------------Disabled
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2)---------------Enabled
CPU EIST Function------------------------Enabled << Disabled
Virtualization Technology------------------Enabled

Thanks! Going to give this (425x7.5) a try. Before I start, I thought I'd post my stock fan temps at idle. Will continue with your settings unless you see a temp problem.

Those temps look fine, but you do need to Disable C1E and EIST still of course, just incase you are overlooking that when you get started.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress and tweaking results
