Default HDTV for Monitor?

Okay got a wild hair somewhere and came up with an idea. Nothing new, but need you experts opinion(s) if this is a good one.

Currently I doing a few builds that will use a Tayon 9600PRO, 9700PRO, and/or a BBA 9800XT. Current monitor is a Dell 21” CRT.

The wife just dropped some money on a new 32” LCD HDTV and is putting out to pasture a 23” LCD HDTV (For Sale). Now the wild hair: Using one of the referenced adapters

Do you think I can make the TV work for a monitor? It is a Sony KLV-23HR1 with the following:
Inputs/Outputs = 1x Coaxial Video Input, 1x Composite (RCA)/S-Video Input (Shared), 1x Composite (RCA)/S-Video Input (Shared) (Front), 1x Component Video Input (RCA), 2x Audio Input (RCA), 1x Audio Input (RCA) (Front), 1x Mini Stereo Audio Output (Front)
View Angle = 176 degrees
Resolution = 1280 x 768 (WXGA)
Input Signals = 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p
Speakers = 4W x 2 Front Bottom Mounted (Use audio for Logitec 5.1’s!)

Primary thing I haven't found yet is the equivalent refresh rate.
