I am buying a new processor for my laptop i have p-6860Fx and am upgrading to new a T9300 which is 2.5ghz from a 1.83ghz and was wondering if i need to buy a new power supply or would i be fine i not sure if it has anything to do with what i am buying but thank you ahead of time for any help.

I would suggest you call the one you are buying the processor from and ask him this question.
I am not familiar with the gear/hardware you have on your laptop.

I had the same issue today but with PSU due to a graphic card change .
I'm going to buy the NX8800 so I must have a better PSU than what I have right now.
(now its 300W I'm buying a 500W)
