need some help please

Hi all all been lurking for a couple weeks, but anyway kind of new to building my own pc. I'm having trouble finding the right mobo, If anyone wants to give me some opinions I would sure appreciate it. It's going to be mostly for gaming, I had the abit IX38 quad GT picked out but I heard the raptors aren't friendly with it. Here are the main components I have picked out. (not to worried about price)

cpu= E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz
v.card= Palit GeForce 8800 GT Super+1GB Video Card
psu= CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W
hdd= raptor 150

If you want DDR2, then any good P35 Intel board will do well. If you want SLI and DDR2 then go with any 780i board. If you want DDR3, I'd suggest the ASDUS P5E3 (any model) since I have one and it is rock solid. If you want DDR3 and SLI then you want any 790i board.

Thanks for your input casecutter, but after a little more research I think I'm going to go with the abit IX38, I might be wrong but going to give it a try.
