Default GFX card upgrade

i'm thinking of replacing my old 7950GT with something more powerfull.

im thinking of either :

dual Geforce 8800GT 512MB
a single ATI 4870
a single geforce 9800 GTX +
or a single GTX 260

out of these the geforce 9800 GTX + will probebly be the cheapest at 230-240 euro's and then the dual 8800GT's 2X120 then the ati 4870 at 280 and then the single gtx 260 at 330

though in games with a good SLI support the 8800GT's would kick all the other cards asses, most new games start out having a horrible SLI/Crossfire support usualy resulting in even worse FPS with a dual card then u would have with a single card.

so a good alternative at almost the same price a litle less overal performance but more single card performance should be the 9800 GTX + which is supose to be 10% faster then the old 9800 GTX, and it having cuda support is also a big plus.

but then there's the ati 4870 en GTX 260 which are both heavy realy fast cards, the 4870 seeming to be in what would be the same performance as the 9800 GTX + might get (card isnt out yet so cant realy say how fast it's gooing to be)

and last the GTX 260 beeing about 90-100 euro's more expensive then the 9800 GTX + it douse have a lot more FPS in games then the current 9800GTX, in the high quality AA and AF test here at tweaktown it had a massive 4.5X as high fps then the 9800 GTX ( XFX GeForce GTX 260 XXX Edition :: TweakTown )

so i would like to know... according to u guys which has the best price to performance ratio

( drivers dont matter i know the ATI drivers are a LOT!!!!! better then the current drivers, especialy for watching tv through your computer seeing as the ati drivers still offer 16:9 vid's on a 4:3 tv by adding a bar at the top and botten nvidia just streches the 16:9 to 4:3 resulting in the egg head syndrome :P )

after reading the anandtech review of the 4870 i've decided to change the cards im concidering to buy, and after reading even further i've made my desision... dual 8800 GT's

only the dual 8800GT's and the GTX 260 from the one's i wanted to buy where able to get over 30 FPS on oblivion 2560X1600 4X AA and 4X AF, even though i only have a 22" screen that go's up to 1650X1050 it douse show that they should be able to handle even the heaviest games (except for crysis nothing can run that at max :P )

One single powerful card is MUCH better than trying to get SLI or even Crossfire working properly. Besides that, a single 8800GT is more than powerful enough for 1680X1050. I am not changing my 8800GT out until I either go higher res (I run 1680X1050) or games need more power. No game out now does, and Crysis is a worthless pile of poorly coded garbage.

as in would it be posible to use it twice in a sli setup?
