Default Suggestions on this combo?

You guys were a great help last year, and that pc is running fine.

How does this combo look?

MOBO GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128059

Ram G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166

CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115017

GPU EVGA 640-P2-N829-AR GeForce 8800GTS SSC 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130317

I havnt kept up with hardware since building my last PC, so if you have any suggestions for alternatives or if you have any of this hardware I'd like to hear about it. I was not able to find a board that supported PCI 2.0 and did not require ddr3..

from what i see it looks like a pretty decent system. THERE are some gripes tho...

the 8800GTS 640MB is OUTDATED!!! and overpriced!!! try to swap it for an 8800GT for extra performance without outrageous prices.
PLUS, now you CAN get pci-e 2.0 specs in recent motherboards such as the nforce 750SLI which supports true dual X16 SLI at pci-e 2.0 speeds.

If your budget could extend further you could consider an SLI motherboard since you've already got an nvidia card.

Everything else besides the video card looks sweet, looks like its gona b a really good all-rounder system.

alright, well I'll have to switch brands then..

how about:

EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

EVGA 512-P3-N808-AR GeForce 8800GT AKIMBO SuperClocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI

same memory still

Don't get a Q6600, really not required if your primary purpose is gaming.
Better to get a C2D, they usually have more headroom for overclocking
as they run cooler than the 4 cores variety

An E8400 would do the job or if you are feeling flush an E8600.
