Dual boot, windows for compatibility with people who persist in making their websites/documents "microsoft specific".

I primarily use:

Desktop: Debian unstable
Applications Server: Debian stable/testing
Web/Mail Server/Router: Adamantix

This is my first post from a RedHat 9 machine, and I must say I'm impressed. Never used Linux before, and decided to test it out (on a machine at work for starters.. ;) )

Haven't really tried to do too much with it at the moment, but for what it came with on the default install I'm very very happy. I could quite easily just ghost this now and make all the students use it. :)

Still got a couple little things to figure out, but with a bit of time and research should be good. Now that I know it's worthwhile, I'm gonna install it on my spare PC at home for a basic file / web server... and probably some game servers as well

linux i think to me is the best "office" use OS. cause of it's stablitity and IS FREE :).

Open office and mozilla firebird is great. also, there is alot of desktop features which i really like in redhat.

I'm dual-booting with Gentoo 1.4 as my primary OS. Sadly gotta keep Windows around for gamin  I first tried Linux about 3 months ago with Mandrake 9.1 and RH9, but I wanted to learn more and be able to customize my system more so I switched to Gentoo and Im lovin it, their portage system is awesome for keeping ur sys up to date and avoiding dependency issues :thumb:

interesting results, but I've got to admit that I would have thought there would be more people running Linux as their main OS, in some configuration. In fact, I would have thought more people in general would be using linux.

I run a RedHat 9 server and a JAMD (basically RedHat 9) box as a workstation. But, I gotta keep Windows XP pro on my game box.
