I'm back at my parents motel for the week for a bit of the break and yesterday Slim Dusty (and crew) were in town for a concern, they all stayed at our motel. For those that don't know - Silm Dusty (in his 70's) is a popular country signer in Australia.

Anyway someone must have tipped off all these freak fans of Slim that he was staying here. Next thing we have people coming into reception asking (demanding) where he is, what room he is in - One total freak aged in her late 50's and obviously a total hill billy with something missing said she knew Slim and his wife and asked to speak to her. So we put her through to the room and it ended up they had no idea who this women was... I was in the office laughing at her (she had her back to me) at the time - she was asking questions like, "What are you doing for dinner...", "My husband is a man on the land and has horses, I would like to take you out to show you" and so on.

We finally got her off the phone, as she was leaving she grabbed a lolly and said "Can I have a lolly, polly?" (Just that was weird enough for me). When she walked out of the office she started to walk down to the rooms where I guess she would have started knocking on each door till they answered. Dad stepped in front of her before she got to the first door and told her to leave.

All was safe and good, no attempted stalkings, till just before. She returned this morning asking if Slim had gone yet - I told her yes they had gone. She asked how long ago they went, I said I don't remember (It was an hour and half ago). She knew they were on their way to Geelong, look out Slim - You've got one REAL FREAK to look out for.

Thinking about it now, I could have really played with her mind if I liked - "Is Silm here?", "Yes, he's just out the back signing all our cds and having a coffee...", "Can I go see him?", "No, he said he'd rather not talk to any freaks..."

Obsession, gone way too far if you ask me!

It's probably time you had a "Hotel Security" vest printed up, and keep it handy under the counter. Then just put on the vest and escort Ms. Freaky to the perimeter of the property.
