DooM III alpha tweak guide.

if u got it and want to play it half decent to see what it is like u need to edit the config (DoomConfig.cfg).

here is some stuff u should edit or add just for use in DooM III alpha.

seta r_useStandardGL "1"

seta r_shadows "o"

seta com_maxfps "999"

seta sensitivity "10"

this gets me 30 avg while walking and bout 8ish shooting. with the gf2mx400.

On normal settings I get about 40-60 walking and about 8 shooting :( My OC'ed GF3 has met its end

Hey guys i am getting a windows error when i try to load into the game. It says something about a mfc error or something. I am running winxp home edition any ideas??

I found out what i was doing wrong. You have to load the maps through console instead of starting single player game thanks anyways guys
THIS GAME KICKS ARSE IT IS FRIGGIN SCARY!!!!:flames:

That's great man,

but..............do you know how to invert the mouse y-axis? or is it x-axis?

pretty sure it's the y! you know so if you move the mouse forwards you look down and pull it back you look up?

I'd really appreciate it if someone knows how to do this - I con never play the default way - maybe i've got some wires crossed in my brain!!!

to invert the mouse change the seta m_pitch ".022" to seta m_pitch "-.022" the m_pitch can be founf in the doomconfig.cfg file

yeah thats the way how to invert it.

i'm currently working on getting the bfg to work in the game.

u can add the plasma,rocket,chainsaw and bfg but they look really ****ty.

here is how u can spawn monsters :)

some may not work for some.

bind F1 "spawn monster_zombie_fat"
bind F2 "spawn monster_zombie_commando"
bind F3 "spawn monster_demon_demon"
bind F4 "spawn monster_demon_imp"
bind F5 "spawn monster_demon_bruiser"
bind F6 "spawn monster_demon_mancubus"
bind F7 "spawn char_scientist1"

u can bind them to whatever u want.

good fun this game is.

Final release is gonna rock gaming history.
Is a Bit sad bout the leak but what can be done.
Good Luck to ID and all involved i'm buying this 1 for sure prolly gonna be on DvD anyway.
