DooM III alpha tweak guide.

Hi guys,
I read that somebody had problemes running the alpha on win xp. i have the same problem (a windows error while trying to play single player).
I'm supposed to config the map or something like that? could anybody tell me how to do it?

you don't try to play single player, you have to access the console by using the ~ key and then type in
map e3/e3_1 or map e3/e3_2 or map e3/e3_3 or map e3/intro

Hey guys. Well This game is really awesome but i have only one problem with it why does it freeze up when i hit the give all button???? It says it couldnt find rail gun or something like that. I am tired of the guns that are on it and i want more is there anyway to get them?? Thanks for the help

It tries to find the weapons but there isnt the railgun so it just freezes

there is also the Plasma,Rocket,Bfg and chainsaw

Now when u look at these guns u will laugh they are extremley alpha, most are just ripped from Q3 and look like ****. The chainsaw and bfg doesnt work for me cause of their being no particles for the bfg.

give weapon_plasmagun
give weapon_bfg
weapon_chainsaw
give weapon_rocketlauncher
give ammo

or pop this into your CFG file.

bind F12 "give weapon_machinegun;give weapon_shotgun;give weapon_plasmagun;give weapon_bfg;give weapon_chainsaw;give weapon_rocketlauncher;give ammo

Cant get it to work

I dloaded it from ftp
54 win zipped folders
unzipped them all
ran the only rar file

ended up with doom3 folder

ran the bat file

got an
error reading tga.9kp

i can start up the video intro

but if i try to load the game thro consol

\maps\e3\e3__1

i get

no command exists

whats up doc

I don't have any sound on the game wats the deal is it becuase I have my audio hardware or watever turned all the way down for mafia to make the squiky sounds to go away and also does anyone now the cfg normal settings for doom3???????? :smokin: :afro: :shoot3:

i havn't really seen the slow framerate that yall keep talking about. maybe cause its hotter in Australia, and it's freezing out where I live, or maybe what I'm running, again, i experience slow framerate only when I'm shooting. but that will be the norm. :thumb:
i uh, we need to figure something out, cause I know people want the doom 3 demo, and i know ID will shut down the schene within 10 min or a site posting screenshots, but there are still Warez sites, and MP3's, we just need to find away around this so that I can download some patches from doom 3.

OK guys i got a Geforce 3 w/ new 40.72 drivers...
i load the game, it goes through intro, but the back of the main menu is white.
Also, ingame everything is black, and when i enter some door on e3/e3_1 it says its "notrecording" and i cant see anything, pls help!
