I am sure this could be debated but when using IDE drives to burn disks at speed you can get into a situation where the buffer runs out of data and the result is a coaster. Since SATA is a point to point path the chance of this happening is much less likely.

Ahhh Makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for your explanation. Its Crazy but I burn everything at 4x anyway. Always have, Probably always will.
