Finally the mystery has been solved, for now at least.
I think its stupid how the powers that be force so much content protection down our throats that the quality of the content suffers!

HDMI looks to be our new standard in terms of digital content transportation, optical falling by the wayside. Its about bandwidth!

The most unfortunate thing is that unless you are geeky enough to do your homework then the average punter wont know if they are listening to Dolby Pro Logic, DTS, or DTS-HD content.

We rely heavily on the sales people in the shops and the artical writers for major publications to tell us whats good and why we should be spending our childrens college fund on a brand new 7.1 DTS-HD surround setup with the 50" sony bravia and B&O speakers :-p
