It looks like a pretty good unit, and easy to use. I dont know alot about NAS Server but if you feel inclined to answer my question then, How you access it, just over the network.. Does it have sorta its own built in OS? Can you team the LAN ports?

Yes, you can Team the LAN ports, it is technically called Link Aggration. All NAS servers have their own OS, usually Linux. It can be accessed over the network or with a little bit of work through the internet. My Network Places is usually the easiest but you can g oin and make folders just like a drive in your My Computer.

Hey Chris, nice review.
I have some questions which I'm hoping you might be able to answer for me. 1.. Apart from the obvious 4 and 6 drive support of the TS439Pro & TS639Pro variants what is the main difference between these and the TS509Pro? What does the "3" represent in the model number? 2.. How does the iSCSI target stuff work? May it be used as a shared storage device for a Windows Server 2003/2008 cluster? I'm curious about this IP-SAN stuff? Thanks in advance for your time.
