Default Re: Solidata X2-256 MLC 2.5-inch Solid State Disk

not sure but there may be an error in the write access times seem way way off what thay should be, thay are lower then read access times when write should be around 5-300ms for them on that list

it looks like Write cacheing was not turnd off on the raid cards or it did something make the results look very good when thay are not on the write tests as one was doing less then 1mb an sec in the write tests

allso you did not state what chip was been used on the SSD but very likey 2x JMicron

AnandTech: The SSD Update: Vertex Gets Faster, New Indilinx Drives and Intel/MacBook Problems Resolved new Indilinx SSDs + fixed for it
AnandTech: The SSD Anthology: Understanding SSDs and New Drives from OCZ page 17 shows the problems with JMicron with access delay

had to post this as does not match what norm users would be useing and performace would not be like what you are getting (and would get very bad results if thay was not useing an raid card) its all in the small Writes in SSDs what makes them good or poor, does not matter if thay can read at 100-250mb an sec when it cant write small 4KB files fast
