i have reloaded vist64bit 5 times trying to fix this problem.

when i turn my pc on i see the post screen it takes it 2min7seconds to get to windows, then it takes another 1min10seconds to get done loading gpuand sound card and other things before i can do anything.

under reliability and performance it says this.
WARNING:the average disk queue lenght is 1,the disk may be at its maximum transfer capacity due to throughput and disk seeks.

in performance details in events log it says this:

What brand is your hard drive? You can find diagnostic programs for most hard drive brands directly from the manufacturer. Have you loaded the drivers for your components (chipset, video, audio, lan , etc)?

Yeah Mate PrairieDawg has you on the right path. It sounds to me like you HDD is quite sick. Backup anything on that drive you want to keep, onto another drive. Download Seatools From Seagate it seems to work with just about all HDD ive thrown at it. Id the HDD in another Computer to see if it hangs at Post screen aswell as maybe load vista on it and try it but Id say its near death.
