guys, is there some kind of software that u can download for free out there that actually eliminates pop-ups. I am gettin sick of them. :mad:

Mozilla has a built in pop-up blocker
http://www.mozilla.org/

but there are other choices if you must stick with IE (I assume that is what you are using)

PoW is king.

Also try ad-aware, an app that will show you installed and running programs that do nothing other than spam you with popups.

Find ad-aware with www.google.com

Yep, POW for pop-ups - simple, small and works well. Highly configurable.

Good point zeradul.
Let's not forget Spybot Search & Destroy for that aspect of things.
