Default Finding Drivers

Whats my best bet finding drivers for a Toshiba laptop that came preloaded with Vista and the person wants to downgrade to XP? The Toshiba website does not list any XP drivers for the system.

Default Re: Finding Drivers

You are going to have a nightmare on your hands. Your only hope is to open it up and see what chipsets it uses and such. Other than maybe a lack of ram, there is no logical reason to not run Vista. I find it faster and easier to use than XP, but I also have an abundance of ram. Upgrading it to 2GB will fix all the slowness issues they are most likely having and as for it being new and hard to understand, XP was too when it was released.

If it were me, I'd tell them to just return it and take the restocking fee and buy a XP based laptop. You are in for a world of pain giving them support for this laptop when they have other driver related issues in the future.
