Rez82: Firefox is a complete browser with built in pop blocker, not a single blocker.
Just thought it may be good to know what it is hes recommending. :)
Good luck.

The Google Toolbar is a good popup blocker too.
As for burning, most of my stuff either gets burnt with Nero or Alcohol 120%.

The google toolbar has totally owned PoW for ease of use....
I thought I'd never say it, but Pow is dead...

Nero and Alcohol are good. I have actually found Roxio and XP's built-in burner to be good for more simple things.
For pop-ups, one other thing you can do is ensure you don't have spyware. Get Adaware from the link in my signature if you don't have a spyware program. That will take care of the majority of the bad pop-ups (there are good pop-ups) I don't use a pop-up blocker and I have no problems with pop-ups whatsoever. Of course, I don't look at porn, German cracker web pages, etc., so you may be in a slightly different position :?: .

My favorite programs for creating CD's and DVD's are vast. It depends on what I'm tring burn. I use Nero Burning Rom 6 for ISO's and Disc to disc copy, Ulead Movie factory 2 for creating a disc load of videos, Nero Vision Express 2 for those Kazaa files that Movie factory doesn't accept, DVD X-Copy Express and 321 hack to backup my copy-right movies, DVD X Maker for home video, and finally but not least DVD Copy to make Divx CD-r's. Oh yeah I also have Easy DVD\CD creator 6 installed on this system but it never gets used.
My favorite pop-up blocker is Popup-stopper pro 2.0. I've been using it for a long time now (atleast 5 years). I like it becuase it does not run in the background, it only runs when the I.E. webrowser is open.
Sometimes I wonder if there are better versions becuase like I said before this baby is old but still seems to do a good job.

Bob, give the google toolbar a shot, you can always uninstall it, it is sure to go peacefully if you don't like it... but you will...

Suppose I forgot to mention Mozilla. Already has been said but it's a great browser and I never get a pop-up I don't want. I kind of forget about the blocker since I don't think about pop-ups. Hence:
