Cool Card Reader adding extra drives

I just put a Scythe Karma Panel (multi card reader) in my computer and noticed that it has put a ton of extra drives in. My question is, are these drives necessary? If not how do I get rid of them. If they are necessary can I hide them? If I do hide them will it interfere with the performance of the card reader when I want to use it Any help appreciated

Card readers generally add 4+ drives when you install them. You can possibly disable them, so they won't show up but they obviously won't work.

...what casecutter said ^^^^. Might I ask why the extra drives disturb you?

Ahh.... o.k. I was afraid that you might have a deep seated fear of the letters "H", "I", "J" and "K". LOL

There are a few card readers which only add one drive letter even though they support multiple cards you can only read/write from a single type at a time though. Someone gave me a generic one of these which is OEM and has no branding on it.
