Default Whistling/Buzzing noise

Hi I have a whistling buzzing noise comming from what seems to be my video cards. I have 2 9800 GTX cards and bought them about 3 weeks ago. Just tonight a buzzing whistling noise is comming from inside the pc case.

Also, when I scroll down the screen with my mouse it gets louder.

Is there anything I can do to test out that everything is ok and how can I go about fixing this problem?

thanks

Also, I have used 2 temp measuring tools for my cpu and gpu's, cpu is at about 27c and both video cards at 45c with fan speed at 35%.

maybe you should try turning the fans up. For two reasons, that may be to low and you ram would be getting hot. And two, that low of a RPM may just be a range where the fans make a whistling noise. Try them, at 45-50 and see if it helps

Try listing your PC specs and you might get a better guess. Probably voltage regulation circuits in either the motherboard, power supply or one/both of the video cards.

You can use RivaTuner or ATItools (Yes it works for Nvidia cards as well) to control fan speeds >>>
RivaTuner
ATITool - Overclocking utility for ATI and NVIDIA cards

And yes, casecutter is right it could likely be regulators or squealing capacitors (Which is very bad). Best to find out which it is FOR SURE by removing and testing as little components as you can at once, or separately in another system until you find the source then go from there

They BOTH control fans. You should be trying one card at a time as well so you can see which it is, if either.

For ATItool you click settings, then fan control >>>

In RivaTuner you will find fan control here >>>

Bought it? With those parts sounds like you built it
