Default Conversion software

Is there any conversion software to make appleworks 6 readable in a pc or to just convert it to word. I would like free if possible. I have some docs on a mac with an os of 9.2 and want to get all the stuff to pc format. Anyone care to comment?

I don't know much about appleworks but can it save files as .txt or .rtf - this won't get all formatting accross but will get the data

Try to update your apple works to version 6.0.3 as i know it can export to RTF files which your PC can read.
