Default A FreeWare/OpenSource replacing Norton Ghost

Hi.

I'm looking for a freeware/open source application to make a complete image of my hard drive, like norton ghost, which i can afterwards make a bootable disk in order to restore my drive.
Any suggestions?
(i tried DriveImageXML with BartPE but somehow the BartPE disk with the DriveImage addons didn't work).
