3Dmark06 and PCmark05 wont work help me

I have downloaded 3Dmark06 and PCmark05 and I can't get either to work. Once they start up with the scanning your system this may freeze your pc for up to 1min thing, my comp just freezes for ever. I check futuremark for help and it says to check for viruses / spyware and to re download the file / reinstall of which I have. I would really like to bench my PC any thoughts?

Since you didn't provide any system specs, have you checked to make sure that your machine is at least up to par with the minimum requirements for the utility?

I have a P4 3.06GHz
Asus P5ML-GX
1GB memory
nVIDIA 6800GS

I had some experience about this, it may be cause by your nvidia video card, you can try upgrade drivers from nvidia, then test again.
