Default Computer RAM issues

I have an MSI motherboard (MS-7325) which I had already installed 2 gigs of ram on. I went out today and bought 2 more gigs of Corsair DDR2 and installed it (the first 2 were in the first 2 dimms, put the second 2 in the second 2 dimms). When I booted up Vista, I checked the system and it said I still had only 2 gigs installed. :(

Does anyone know what I might need to do in order to fix this problem? I went into the BIOS, but couldn't find anything worth changing (or anything that seemed like it would have any impact on the situation). I super appreciate the help!

Knowing your full hardware setup plus whether your version of Vista is 32 or 64-bit would help a great deal.
