Ahhhhh...... much better. The new RAM works good, new CPU works good, and the new PSU works good! I thought I'd prolly have to reauthenticate Vista after changing CPU and RAM at least .... but nope. I did wind up resetting CMOS but even that went smoothly.
3DMark06 went from 5022 with my SLIed 7600GTs to 7541 when I went to the single 8800GTS a couple of weeks ago. Now that I've finished upgrading (for now) my score is at 9853. Time to do a bit of gentle overclocking and see what happens.
