Default Ram Problem

I have a Soyo P4X400 Dragon Ultra MB. I have 3 memory slots that will take 256MB 512 MB or 1024MB. I just upgraded with a stick of 1024 DDR SODIMM. The system only shows it as 512 and not the 1024. The MB can take up to 3 1024 sticks of ram.Can anyone help me with this.

Are you sure it is a SODIMM module?

The website says DDR-DIMM not SODIMM

SODIMM has a lower Pin count than DIMM

For some particular reason your 1GB module is not listed on the SOYO RAM capability list :S

There are only densities of 512MB, 256MB and 128MB.
The chipset on this motherboard doesnt officially support DDR400 tho. That could b a reason.

This is an old VIA prob, when using double sided memory the 1st two slots work fine but the 3rd will only be compatable with single sided memory.
