i would like to know if this chip amd 720 x3 black edition can run on a amd 2+ board and later on would it run on a amd 3 motherbord thanking you

Yes.

An AM3 CPU will work on a AM2+ motherboard.

The reverse, AM2+ CPU on a AM3 motherboard does not work.
