This one is very very hard to believe without some actual pictures for proof. I am hopeful, but this should not be taken seriously until it is backed up by either another claim with proof, of just some good ole pictures.

I would be hard pressed to see something pass the current 3dmark06 records. I found a 26k mark score, but that system was downright crazy. We're talking 5.1ghz Core 2 Quad Extremes and SLi 8800 Ultras.

I have no doubt that the upcoming AMD Quads are gonna atleast tie the current records if not slightly beat them, but this much of a jump is hard to believe. Besides that, HD 2900 Crossfire is proven to beat SLI Ultra's in 3D Mark 06.

Second link is dead. Good to see AMD getting some stuff out though.

AMD will do better when they get the whole chip to run at speed but while the memory controller and L3 cache run at a reduced speed to the rest it won't happen.

That first post is a load of crap. he just happend to get his laptop stolen..yeah right. I dont believe the new AMD will be any faster than the current top intel cpu's I bet they are slower.. This coming from an old AMD fan I have jumped ship with the recent release of the new Inel cores..

My 2.6 GHz Phenom came in today and I am playing around with it now. I did a little OCing earlier today but since these chips are very rare I am going to hold off from pushing it until my AM2 bracket comes in for my phase change.

I can see one way that 30K was achieved, quad HD 3870's or maybe triple 2900 XT's.

Anyhow, since my chip runs native at 2.6 I will be posting some results compared to my QX6700 that runs at 2.66 native.
