This is what I have Asus A8n SLI AMD athlon XP 4400+ and the zalman heatsink Zalman CNPS9500 LED heatsink/fan | silentpcreview.com without the LED 550w powersupply Windows vista SP1 (has this problem on both) Here is my problem. I am getting white bars all over and flickering UI problems in games, and after a while, missing body parts, or flashing body parts. It seems if I boot up my PC after a 12ish hour break of being shut down, it's the worst. I am getting them all over the place now. examples. http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/3049/cpu1or7.jpg http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/9215/cpu2ia0.jpg http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/3572/cpu3ew2.jpg The animated icons on the right are making one flash across the text box. It seems that once the pc is up for a while, windows doesn't get very many at all and I sometimes get the flickering in the games which I can fix by alt tabbing and coming back. But after a good amount of days with the pc being up I will start to get problems again. Here are the 3 things I have tried to do. Reapply paste to the cpu. reset cmos Flashed Bios. Is it hopeless? |

12ish hours - that almost sounds like you've got faulty capacitors
I've found in deep distant past that CPU's can be burnt in at the overclocked speeds - don't know if this is still true - so when you drop em back, they complain
