Abit IC7-G Max3 Pentium 4 motherboard

This concept board was on display during an event in Moscow, ABIT will officially announce a retail version in the middle
of July.

Interestingly Abit has included an OTES cooler to remove the warm air surrounding the processor when the board is being overclocked.

seems like an excelent idea, but wouldn't you have to mod your case so the fan could vent the air?

...does it seems odd to anyone else that the IDE1 and 2 are on their side?

It seems to me that the rest of the backpnael ports are closer together, so the fan fits wihout a mod, but its just a guess

I did some measuring and estimating my backpanel, and I think that mobo would fit perfectly withuot any mods

If you look at the IC7-G You will notice that the side still comes down halyway throught the Northbridge fan so there wont be a problem with it :)

Minibubba: You don't need to modify your case, the card will fit straight in. I'm sorry but I don't have a picture of the back plate.

Nope as the two PS2 ports are still there, just no useless serial and parrallel ports.
