Tv card help

If there is another thread like this, I apologize.

I am going away for college soon and I want to bring my ps2 along without bringing a TV or a huge converter box. I read on here about a TV card, so I went to look one up. Someone said that laptop users (me) should use this kind of card:

PCMCIA TV Tuner/FM Radio & Video Capture Cardbus Card for Laptop

I want to know if this is what and all I will need to play my ps2, and possibly watch VCR tapes ( i saw that on the picture) on my computer monitor.
