Default SG33G5M-Doesn't send IR sig to STB in VMC

Hello all.... I have vista ultimate 64bit with the OEM microsoft media center reciever. I have set everything up correctly. i can watch tv too, but when I change the channel, nothing happens(its not sending the IR because it doesn't flash red like it does on my other machines). usually this is the case of just updating all the chipsets, but i've done that. The IR hotfix off the site, isn't for vista at all. Does anybody have any idea's?? By the way; nothing is reporting as errors. I'm puzzled. This is a media center machine, and I can't even use it as one right now.
