Default SN68SG2 - AMD Athlon 64 x2 Black Edition

Greets,

I have the SN68sg2 with newest bios flashed. I have the:
5000 AMD Athlon x2 Black Edition
2.6 GHz True Dual-Core Design
Clock Multiplier Control
1MB l2 Cache
Socket AM2

I'm under the impression that the multiplier is not locked, however it always runs 200MHz x 13 = 2600 MHz. In bios I change the multiplier to 15 (3000 MHz/ AKA 3.0 GHz) and every time I boot and load CPUID, it shows 200x13. This is with power save features turned off in Vista Home premium. Just for S&G I changed to a lower multiplier and it still says 200x13.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

As you may have noted, there is some people who have problems with their xpc's.
Usually bios code do not allow many changes...the one you have noted may be one more.
