Default 501+ FSB = Graphics Adapter

I have a question about my board (EP45-UD3R). I'm trying to modify my multi/fsb from 8x500 to 7.5x533, but when I do, Windows 7 64-bit RTM fails to recognize my graphics card. What's wrong with that?

After further tinkering, I've discovered that bumping my FSB past 500MHz results in Windows 7 not recognizing my graphics card. Any idea? I know Win7 is still new, so I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a fix for this. I've already filled out an MIT form:

Code:
CPU = E8400
Motherboard = EP45-UD3R
BIOS Version = F9a
Ram = 4GB (2x2) OCZ Gold

That's my current MIT setting for running 500x8. When I modify it to 533x7.5 to run my memory stock, Windows 7 RTM refuses to recognize a GPU. Any ideas?

Default Re: 501+ FSB = Graphics Adapter

You've posted an abbreviated bios template.
Have you overclocked your video card?
Post your current stable bios settings using this generic bios template.
Your MCH Core voltage is awfully high. 1.22 - 1.26 volts is usually all that this needed with 2x2GB of memory. At 500MHz, you might need 1.28 volts.

To best help you, you should:
1) List your system components in your signature.
--> User CP tab (upper left corner of web page)
--> select Edit Signature
--> enter your hardware components (brand, model, etc.)
--> include your bios version
--> preview
--> Save when complete
Be sure to include your bios version, motherboard version, power supply, cpu heatsink/fan setup and the model numbers of all components.

2) Link to your ram's full specifications.

3) Fill in the generic bios template with your bios settings.
--> Fill in Auto where appropriate.
--> Update "??" values with what is displayed in your bios.
For EP4x motherboards, using either of these EP43/45 bios templates.

4) Include a screenshot that displays:
Memset using the SPD and ">>" tabs
cpu-z CPU and Mainboard screens (several instances can be run at the same time)
EasyTune6 --> TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab (only the Voltage tab is needed)
CoreTemp screen [for your cpu's VID (Voltage ID)]

Links for these programs are in the Latest Overclocking Programs, System Info, Benchmarking, & Stability Tools thread.

If you created your forum signature after your last post, the signature won't appear until your next post.

Has your system passed extended stability tests using Prime95 or OCCT?
If yes, which tests were run and for how long?
What was the highest stable speed you were running with your tests?

Many of your voltage settings are out of line.
These are some suggested settings that should be stable:

CPU Vcore..............1.27500V.......: [1.30000V] <--- ballpark value
CPU Termination........1.200V.........: [1.200V] <--- 1.22 - 1.24 might be needed
CPU PLL................1.500V.........: [1.570V]

MCH Core...............1.100V.........: [1.240V] <--- 1.22 - 1.28 might be needed
MCH Reference..........0.760V.........: [0.740V] <--- set with VTT (Cpu Termination) = 1.20, this will change when VTT is increased

ICH Core...............1.100V.........: [1.200V]

DRAM Voltage...........1.800V.........: [2.10V] <--- 2.12 might be needed

You should be able to use the rated 5-6-6-18 primary memory timings.
Static tRead Value (tRD) = 9 or 10 should be stable, lower is better. Set the same value for both memory channels (A and B)
Driving Strength = 1066 or OC-1200 might help with stability (for Channels A and B).

Default Re: 501+ FSB = Graphics Adapter

I was running stable with Prime95 12 hours, and LinX MAX stress for 20 runs. I actually passed those tests with 1.2v vCore a while back--I've just bumped it up to what it is now for stability. I really don't think 1.3v vCore is necessary, but if need be, I'll bump it up to that. I'll report back.

*edit* Tried the voltage settings as suggested. Looks good so far. Gonna boot up Shattered Horizon and see where that gets me. I tried changing the driving strength to OC-1200 and that resulted in my system hanging on the beginning of POST and me going back into MIT with it telling me I had a failed overclock. Any idea about that?

Driving Strength = Auto or 1066 should be fine.
Both channels should be set to same value.
With the new settings, are you testing with 8 x 500MHz?
If there are any problems, post your new bios settings and the screen-shot.
Good luck!
