Edit- Forgot that I also upped tRead to 10...that might have helped as well. I'll worry about tightening memory timings and other things later on.

Aaargh! No love from my setup. Still refuses to boot up at 420FSB. Dunno if there are too many other things left to tweak in my BIOS. I don't think it is the RAM, and looking at some other threads, most folks are able to push their E6750 easily above 420-430 FSB. I wonder if it is a limitation with my budget board.

If you're running DDR-800 RAM and are experiencing problems with the system while running above that speed, then you can't discount the RAM as the problem. it may simply be over its limit. It may not be but it's the most likely suspect. Your board could be limiting you, but without verifying the max clock your RAM will run at, it's not top on the list of causes.

Point taken Psycho101. I think I might try lowering FSB and upping the memory multiplier to isolate the RAM. On the other hand, it looks like my CPU is hitting 60-63C on Prime at 1.4V and 3.3GHz, so I really don't think I can hope to push much more in any case. I'll keep you guys posted. Off to bed now...gnite.

Sorry for the delay - Work unfortunately got in the way of things. As an update, I dropped the FSB down to 354MHz and set the memory multiplier to 2.40B to achieve 850MHz. Didn't make any other changes and the computer booted up fine. I'm currently running Memtest86+ to check the memory, but it seems to be fine.
So is it safe to infer that the RAM isn't limiting me in my quest to achieve 425MHz? It could still be my CPU as I am using the stock intel cooler and at 415x8 = 3.32GHz it starts hitting 60-62C on Orthos Prime. Unfortunately I can't use a lower memory multiplier on the board to lower the memory clock while trying 425FSB. Any other suggestions or do you think I'm kind of at the limit at 415FSB?
