Does anyone know if the F10e BIOS has solved the cold-reboot-loop issues? I've read many places/forums across the net with people having the same problem but no one has ever figured out a definitive reason.

Some say it's because your OC is unstable. This is hogwash and I can prove it isn't true with my rig. Usually takes me a good 5 minutes to get into Windows from a cold boot due to this reboot issue. It's really starting to wear on my nerves. RMA won't do anything as others have found out.

Others speculate it has to do with voltages (too high presumably). I haven't played with those enough to know yet. I don't want to say it's a "widespread" issue but I'm definitely not alone here so I would think Gigabyte would have addressed this by now given the age of the board. Either the dual-BIOS feature is bugged or there is some definitive setting in the BIOS we are not seeing/set wrong.

I'm running F10e and can confirm that my system still powers off once before booting normally when AC power is discontinued. I haven't had looping issues for a while.

I can also confirm that the beta bios is very stable, and would be worth giving a go if you're curious.

I have the same issue.. whenever I turn off power to the powersupply.. when I turn it back on it loops a few times before it can boot up. I'd love to hear what Gigabyte has to say.. maybe it's time to send a email.

It would be interesting to see what happens when you run an extended OCCT Large Data Set test.
I've found OCCT and Prime give similar pass/fail results, but the time of failure can sometimes be very different.

Is there a reason why you haven't tested yet using a higher cpu multiplier with cpu host frequencies in the upper 400MHz range?

Well to be honest Jim I was ready to do that but when I updated to F10e and couldn't boot with my 540x8 template I had to go back to 510x8 to try and find some stability.

I am actually now 12.5hrs into a 24hr OCCT Medium (Blend?) Data Set test.

@Souloo take a look back through this thread there are some templates that myself and others have posted from around 450FSB up to 550FSB, you will need to get a feel for what your equipment is capable of.

D-and-W so did you take a sledge hammer to your bathroom or the rig?

Have you thought about it possibly being the powersupply? Does it fail with OCCT? if so do you see any flucuation on the voltages at that point? I think OCCT will graph the volts. Some powersupplies are tighter in their specs like 3.3 +or- 3% some +or- 5%...

I had that problem on an old rig. I finially tracked it down to a powersupply that looked fine.. but would have variation of like 5-7% every 6-8 hours. I put in a tighter bigger supply and it was fine. Also do you have it on any type of power filter from the wall? Maybe you are getting a spike from the neighbors bug-lamp when a big moth hits it!

Just a thought.

Changelog is always posted when given and I am sure Stasio posted this one on the BIOS thread the day he posted this (Around 7-27-09)

Because the CMOS must be charged again = Reboot, Reprogrammed = reboot, Tested and Verified = Reboot, Normal boot.

Don't unplug your PSU you are not saving $100's of a year by doing so anyway
