See what happens when you compromise and do it my way.

Default Re: GA-EP45-UD3P - Won't boot with 450FSB

Morning PJ, the new BIOS although forcing me to re-start lower down the FSB scale does seem to have worked out better (So far).

Should I worry about 24hrs of Prime Small or give it a go at 510x8.5?

Default Re: GA-EP45-UD3P - Won't boot with 450FSB

My stability testing usually involves 8 - 10 hours for each test; small, blend, and large. Once I've reached my desired goal, I then test 24/24/24 for the final tests.

This works for me, as I'm not doing any critical work and I'm not doing extended encoding or image processing that run for long periods.

I'm waiting to see if large FFTs rears it's ugly head as you go higher & higher.
Hope you're not offended by my reply to your question in the "e8600" thread.

I have a CPU SPECS sub folder in my TweakTown folder.
I've saved screenshots from the Intel Processor Spec Finder pages for all the curret 775 cpu offerings.

What I use instead of Blend test is custom with 2048-4096 size with as much memory as possible - usually 3300 or so MB (have 4GB) - Blend just doesn't seem stressful enough in my eyes!

Give it a try :) Just for the hell of it.

Nice work ProfJim....

Ohh an you too D-an-W

See how it is, remeber when you first had me remote overclocking your system and you thought the CPU or memory was maybe crappy?

Just takes time and tweaking, something I could not do remotely... As you witnessed due to the contstant reboots and disconnects.

Great work man

Ya trying to overclock via remote assist terrible. It can be done though, just not as fast or easy as in person of course.

Me last poster....... Never around here

This place is SUPER BUSY!!
