What are your voltages again?
I came to a disturbing conclusion - my CPU sucks more than a porn star and needs 1.35 VCORE (or more but I don't thnk so) for 4GHz. Apart from that, I seem to be finally stable with 7.5x534@1.28 MCH core and 1.2VTT. edit: wtf, I posted the same stuff 2 days ago. Lack of sleep and too much gaming=bad. Question: let's assume permanent load. What would be the difference in power consumption between default VCORE and say 1.36250?

Guys, would anyone have a suggestion how to play with advanced memory timings?
I got 1066 memory, currently running at 1080 (which is nothing really), 2.1V default. I am looking forward to tighten them a bit, but knowing close to nothing about this stuff, I could use and advice. Which ones to play with first and what kinda values? I can boot and run Prime95 ok with these: tRRD - 3 tWTR - 3 tWR - 3 tRFC - 62 tRTP - 3 CMD - 2 (cannot go lower else reboot loop, which was expected) static tRead value of 10 - again, impossible to go lower driving strength 1066MHz edit: fail in 30 mins :P

My system was stable with 1-3-3-50-1 Advanced memory timings, but it was an awful lot of work for small gains. When I set these to AUTO (tRFC still manually set to 50), I changed Performance Enhance from Standard to Turbo. Memory benchmarks were the same, down to the second decimal place.
Naturally, additional extended stress testing is required.

Ah, allright then, apparently no point in messing with this stuff. The auto+turbo approach sounds good, I will give it a shot.
Oh by the way after endless weeks I finally got 540x7.5 stable again! With 1.28 MCH core just like the first time! edit: based on what are the values set in auto mode?

AUTO settings are intentionally conservative so that a successful boot will (hopefully) occur. With memory timings, the bios reads the SPD memory values set by the memory manufacturer. These SPD settings are often somewhat conservative.
Keep in mind that displayed Memset values and manually set bios values will be different for tWTR, tWR, and tRTP. Lsdme covers this in his Memset vs ET6 thread.

Yup I was reading those but a little confused. Is there any way how the values from BIOS are converted to show in MemSet?
Btw the difference in performance when using auto probably isn't anything huge?

tWTR +7 = Memset value (Rank Write to Read Delay)
tWR + 5 = Memset value (Write to Precharge Delay) tRTP +2 = Memset value (Read to Precharge Delay) I hope this fully confuses you ;)

thank you o master
:D edit: hey it doesn't fit in your numbers! I know I got tWR set to 3 in the BIOS, and MemSet shows 11. According to you it should read 8! /me is confused

![]() On a few occasions, I've noticed that the number difference was plus or minus 1, for example, the Memset value was +8 instead of +7. Don't sweat the petty things.... .... and don't pet the sweaty things.
