Default GA-EP45-UD3R would not boot

My PC would not boot normally.

When I press the power button the power led and fans turn on for few seconds and then shuts down. Pressing power button again sometimes makes it go into a loop, fans and lights turn on for few seconds and then go off. Nothing on monitor. No beeps either.

The only way to turn it on is to press the power button the second time immediately (like within 1 second) after the power goes down. If it still doesn't work I'll have to switch off from the mains and wait for a while before trying again the same way.

After managing to turn it on, i have no problems restarting as much as i like. But if i shutdown, again it would refuse to boot normally.

The problem started randomly. I reseated RAM, graphic card etc and it seemed to work then. I guess the powering down to do that had made it work. But now it never boots and I have learned this weird way to boot as mentioned above.

Here is my system;
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R rev. 1.1 bios F9
Processor: Intel C2D 3.0Ghz E8400
RAM: Corsair Dominator 2GB (2x1GB DDR2) 1066MHz PC2-8500 C5 (TWIN2X2048-8500C5D G)
Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E Dual Slot Fansink
Hard disk: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s 500-GB Hard Drive
Optical Drive: LG DVDRW SATA GH22NS30
PSU: Corsair TX750W

I have updated BIOS using floppy. Changed the PSU 'CM Real Power Pro 550W' to the current 'Corsair TX750W'.

Could it be possible that i have a wrong setting in the BIOS? Is there anything wrong with my system voltages etc?

Vcore 1.220V
DDR18V 2.288V
+3.3V 3.120V
+12V 12.365V
Current System Temperature 48° C
Current CPU Temperature 53° C
Current CPU FAN Speed 2606 RPM

I've filled your bios settings template and attached it.

Thanks for your help.

Are you overclock or just stock speed ?

1. try clear cmos battery for few mins.

2. hit del go into Bios Menu then select load optimized default then save to exit.

it's should be able boot up after correct setting, if boot ok then ask someone will help you with OC template after.

Thanks for the suggestion powergiga.

Am not intending to overclock. But i did install easytune and tried few settings before. Have uninstalled it now and been running on optimized defaults.

I had tried clearing cmos through the pins on motherboard and also removing battery for few minutes and loaded defaults and optimized defaults too. Will try removing the battery and leaving for more than an hour tonight.

Will report back later.

I have Sapphire custom graphics card too, and I also have weird problem since then, although mine is different from yours...
I'm still waiting for Gigabyte technical support to response to my problem and hope them to release a new BIOS ASAP to solve it, or else... I have to change my graphics card again. *Sigh*

Why don't you try another graphics card first, mate? Prefer a reference one, not a custom build one. Perhaps your case has any relation to mine, and changing your graphics card can really solve your problem at last. Just my two cents.

Good luck.
