Default GA-EX58-UD5+verifying Dmi Pool Data?!

Hi,

last week I build up my new pc:
-Gigabyte EX58-UD5

-Intel Core i7-920 2,6 D0

-G.Skill DDR3 3x2048MB 2000MHz TRIDENT CL9

- Radeon HD5870

-Corsair CMPSU-750HXEU

-SSD- Vertex 120GB
+ Silverstone Raven 2

During bootup my computer hangs at Verifying DMI pool data and after a while it works well. Is this normal ?

Thanks for your answer. The message -verifying Dmi Pool Data is for about 2 sec, and after that pc starts normaly.
I was afraid that this is not normal (in my last pc- I used asus mainboard and I didn't have such message).

It does vary a bit depending on what board is used and what components are plugged in etc. A 2 second delay is completely normal.

You may be able to reduce this by flashing to the latest BIOS, then loading oprimised defaults and re-setting up your system. If the board contains features you don't use then disabling them may help. For instance I disable the Serial and Parallel port connectors, the JMicron SATA/IDE ports and the firewire header, as I don't use them. This may also shave a fraction off your Windows boot times, as less drivers are loaded at boot.
